What Hot Sauce Is Best For Buffalo Cauliflower?

You really want to go with a quality, flavorful brand of hot sauce. Aside from the extra crispy texture, the cauliflower gives - the hot sauce is truly the highlight!

El Yucateco is EVERYONE’s hot sauce - not just a Mexican Hot Sauce. El Yucateco is the #1 habanero sauce in the US and ranks in the top 10 of all hot sauces in the States.

How Do You Make Buffalo Cauliflower?

Preparing the cauliflower is super easy. As I mentioned above, with only a handful of ingredients (that you may already have), you’ll be enjoying this recipe in no time.

You can purchase cauliflower whole, or already chopped at your local grocery store.

Once your cauliflower is chopped into bite-sized pieces, you’ll want to coat them with a batter made of your choice of milk, flour, onion powder, garlic powder and salt.

Then you’ll coat the battered cauliflower with bread crumbs.

Once your oil heats up, you’ll fry them for about 5-7 minutes, until they’re golden brown in color.

Instructions:
  1. Preheat vegetable oil in a deep fryer to 350 degrees F. Melt a whole stick of butter.
  2. Wash and cut cauliflower into bite-sized pieces.
  3. In a large bowl, add flour, seasonings and almond milk. Whisk until combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, pour breadcrumbs.
  5. Add the cauliflower pieces to the first bowl with the batter. Using a wooden spoon, toss the cauliflower until all pieces are nicely coated.
  6. Then take each piece, one by one - and roll it into the bowl with breadcrumbs until it’s nicely coated.
  7. Using the deep fryer, fill the basket evenly. You may have several batches. You don’t want them to go into the basket on top of each other. ONE layer only.
  8. Dip the cauliflower into the hot oil for 5 to 7 minutes, or until the cauliflower is golden in color.
  9. Dump the cauliflower onto a paper towel to rid any excess oil.
  10. Take the melted butter and hot sauce into another bowl and whisk.
  11. In another large bowl, pour fried cauliflower into the bowl, drizzle with hot sauce and lightly toss until each piece of cauliflower is coated with sauce.
  12. You can add as much you’d like, or less.
  13. Serve with your favorite sides and dipping sauce. Enjoy!
